CJC-1295: What the Evidence Actually Shows

Both forms of CJC-1295 remain FDA restricted and are not compoundable. Neither was reviewed at the July 2026 advisory committee meeting.

The short version

  • A modified analog of GHRH, sold in two distinct forms that are often confused.
  • No DAC (also called Modified GRF 1-29) has a short half life, measured in minutes.
  • With DAC binds to albumin and lasts around a week, producing a sustained elevation rather than pulses.
  • That difference matters more than most marketing admits.
  • Currently FDA restricted. Not available.

The two forms are not interchangeable

This is the single most misunderstood point about this compound, and it has real consequences.

The no-DAC form produces a short pulse that roughly mimics the body's own pattern. The DAC form produces a sustained elevation lasting days, which does not mimic natural physiology at all. Sustained elevation is the pattern most associated with the side effects people worry about with growth hormone axis therapy, including fluid retention, joint discomfort and effects on insulin sensitivity. Sellers frequently list both under one product name.

What the research shows

Early human work established that CJC-1295 raises growth hormone and IGF-1, with the DAC form producing sustained increases. Development did not continue to the point of establishing outcome benefits in healthy adults, and that is where the evidence stops.
