Handling, storage, and how to check what you were sent.

Everything on this page is about the material itself: what it is, how it degrades, and how to verify a batch. None of it is guidance on use, and none of it should be read that way.

Read this first

Everything we supply is for laboratory research use only and is not for human or animal consumption. This page does not tell you how to use anything, because there is no use we sell it for. It tells you how to store it, how to handle it without contaminating or destroying it, and how to check the paperwork.

Why lot-level testing is the whole question

Independent testing programmes that have sampled this market have repeatedly found material that is underdosed, mislabelled, or a different compound to the one on the label. The problem is not that certificates do not exist. It is that a certificate proves nothing unless it refers to the batch in your hand.

A certificate from a batch made eighteen months ago tells you what that batch was. It tells you nothing about a vial synthesised since. This is the single most common way a certificate is used to imply something it does not establish.

What a certificate has to have

What sterility testing does and does not cover

Purity and identity testing say nothing about whether material is sterile, and nothing about endotoxin. Those are separate tests with separate methods. A vendor showing you an HPLC trace has not shown you a sterility result, and the two are routinely conflated in this market.

Repeated freeze-thaw cycling degrades peptides. If material is going to be used across several occasions, aliquoting once and freezing the aliquots is the standard laboratory approach, rather than thawing and refreezing the same vial.

Handling

The reconstitution calculator handles the dilution arithmetic. It is a unit conversion tool. It does not know what you are doing with the material and it does not suggest a quantity.

Disposal

Dispose of material and any sharps according to the rules that apply where you are. Do not put sharps in household waste. Do not pour solutions down a drain.

Two things we will not supply

The supplier sheet we buy from includes human growth hormone and botulinum toxin. Neither is listed here and neither will be. HGH distribution outside an approved indication carries its own federal criminal statute, 21 U.S.C. 333(e), separate from everything else in this category. Unapproved botulinum toxin has put people in hospital with botulism in the United States. Those two are not comparable to the rest of the sheet.

Regulatory status, plainly

Most of these compounds are not approved by the FDA for any use. A few have approved formulations for specific clinical indications, and the relevant compound page says which. Nothing here is supplied as an approved product. Some of these materials are restricted or prohibited in some countries and some states, and checking the law where you live is your responsibility.

How to read a certificate
