Epitalon is not currently legal to compound. It passed the FDA advisory committee 7 to 5 in July 2026 and awaits formal rulemaking.
Epitalon is a synthetic version of a peptide isolated from pineal extract, part of the Khavinson bioregulator line of research. It is claimed to activate telomerase and, by extension, to slow cellular aging.
The telomerase claim traces to a limited set of studies, largely from a single research group, published in venues that have not been widely replicated. There are reports of increased lifespan in rodents and small human cohorts followed over long periods.
None of that meets the standard you would want before injecting something to influence cellular aging. Telomerase activation is also not an unambiguously good thing: it is a mechanism cancer cells exploit, which is a serious question this compound's marketing does not address.
Telomerase upregulation is a recognised feature of many cancers. A compound proposed to activate telomerase in healthy tissue raises an obvious question about tissue that is not healthy. There is no human safety data addressing it. Anyone with a cancer history should treat this as contraindicated and talk to an oncologist.
